Fresh off some more All Star breaks, the fellas return for another jam packed knowledge filled episode of MLR. Eric was a trooper though despite being drenched.

Mike Ferrin hosts Power Alley weekdays fro 10 AM to 2 PM ET on Sirius/XM’s MLB Network Radio joins us as he provided play-by-play for the MLB Futures game. He is impressed with how these prospects are handling the media hype/attention at such a young age.

Reading, PA hosted the AA All Star Game this week and they put a twist on their Home Run Derby. Brian Seltzer of the Reading Phillies joined us to break down their “Hitting Challenge”.

Jay Burnham - Director of Broadcasting, Richmond Flying Squirrels - 2011 Minor League Broadcaster of the Year Jay Burnham is in his first season with the Flying Squirrels calling all home games and select road contests. Sam Sigal - Director of Broadcasting, Johnson City Cardinals - A Princeton, NJ native but San Francisco born, Sam is in his first year in Johnson City and second in Minor League Baseball. Sam spent the summer of 2012 as an intern with the Trenton Thunder under MLR co-host Jay Burnham. He also served a Media Relations Assistant for the first half of 2013 with the Hickory Crawdads. Sam graduated from Rider University with a degree in communications while serving as head student manager for the men’s basketball team. He is the self proclaimed guru of all things Rule 5 Draft and other arguably irrelevant minor league baseball information.
